Hello from Saint Vincent!

Welcome to the Goodies from the Grenadines blog spot for baked goods and everything scrumptious in the Caribbean. My name is Anthony and I hope I can provide you with the same tasty and exceptional food I’ve been lucky to experience during my stay in Barbados, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

Here’s to excellent Caribbean cuisine and fantastic island fun!

As a side note, if you live in the Grenadines and, most importantly, Saint Vincent, please feel free to visit the bakery  (that my cousin Jhoanape Kennedy and her husband Randy Kennedy own) when you get the awesome opportunity to do so.

The bread is always fresh and warm, right out of the oven. Evenings and Saturdays are usually the busiest times for business but we stay open long after everybody else has closed down for the day.

My cousin and her husband run a great business and the whole area smells delicious once those ovens are running.

So stop by and say “hello” and share a bite to eat.

Kingstown, Saint Vincent

Here’s a little history: Kingstown is the capital of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines which is located north of Venezuela in the south Caribbean. It’s a state of the West Indies with approximately 120,000 people living on the island. Kingstown itself has a population of 19,300. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are mostly composed of submerged volcanic mountains.
